The roughly triangular |scapula| is defined by three borders, the superior, the inferior, and the lateral. The superior (top) border features the |suprascapular notch| and extends from the |superior angle| to the neck of the |scapula|. The inferior border runs from the |inferior angle| to the neck of the |scapula|. The |medial border| is that nearest to the spinal column, running from the |superior angle| to the |inferior angle|.
